Il Gesto Armonico is an ensemble founded in 2014, created with the aim of exploring, studying and interpreting the different chamber music repertoires of the 17th and 18th centuries following historical criteria and performed with original instruments.

Laura Sintes
Traverso and historical dances
Born in Menorca, she obtained a Bachelor in Early Music specialising in baroque and renaissance transverse flute with Philippe Allain-Dupré at the Conservatory of Toulouse (France); a Bachelor in Historical Musicology, and a Master's Degree in Early Music Performance at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMúC). She also trained with Wilbert Hazelzet and Frank Theuns. At the same time, she took several specialisation courses, both theoretical and interpretative, in the repertoire of medieval music with Dr. Mauricio Molina and Norbert Rodenkirchen in Cologne (Germany). Recently, she has delved into the study of the Romanic harp. As a flutist, she has collaborated with various groups and ensembles such as the Chamber Orchestra of the city of Toulouse, the Danserie group directed by Bérnard Fourtet and Philippe Matharel, Antiquum XXI, Opus 5, Zahurda, or La Fenice directed by Jean Tubéry, among others.
She is co-director of the Festival de Música Antiga des Migjorn Gran, founded by violinist Eva Febrer in 2011, becoming the first festival of its kind on the island of Menorca.
Currently, she combines her performance as a musician with historical dance. She is part of several ensembles dedicated to the historical reconstruction of early music from various periods (Middle Ages, Renaissance, Baroque and Classicism), such as Summa Musicae, Novum Organum or Il Gesto Armonico; she works with Nick Nguyen, with whom she collaborates in the creation of shows and in academic research; and assists Bruna Gondoni in the research and study of Italian treaties. She is also involved in dissemination and research of historical dances through courses, workshops and as a dance teacher for musicians within the framework of the Master in Early Music Performance at the Higher School of Music of Catalonia (ESMúC). Since 2023 she has been a teacher of historical dances at the Municipal Conservatory of Music of Barcelona.
In her current professional career, she combines teaching with the interpretative aspect and research in the field of historical dance.
Eva Febrer
Historical violin
She graduated in modern violin in the Conservatori Superior de les Illes Balears with the teachers Enrique Palomares and Agustín León Ara.
She then entered the world of interpretation following historically documented criteria with the renowned Anglo-American violinist Barry Sargent.
She graduated in History and Music Sciences from the Universidad de La Rioja and trained at the ESMUC (Higher School of Music of Catalonia) completing two years of postgraduate studies with the professor Emilio Moreno in the specialty of historical violin.
She has worked and trained with prestigious musicians such as Sigiswald Kuijken, Midori Seiler, Luis Antonio González, Emilio Moreno, Lorenzo Coppola, Emmanuel Balssa, Barry Sargent, Chiara Banchini, Manfredo Kraemer, Pablo Valetti, Andrew Ackerman, Gordan Nikolich, Giorgio Mandolesi, Gottfried von der Goltz, Christophe Coin, Zefira Valova, Carol Slater-Jewel, Julia Kuhn, International Academy of the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, International Academy of La Petite Bande, Villa Bossi European Academy.
She is a member of the Ensemble Il Gesto Armonico, El Teatre Instrumental, Orquestra de Cambra Illa de Menorca, Najash Symphonic Metal, Ensemble Tsaldaris, Stylus Phantasticus, and collaborates with different orchestras and ensembles specialized in historical performance with original instruments, such as La Petite Bande, La casa de les Comèdies, Orquestra del Montsalvat, both with the historical violin and viola.
She is co-director of the Feetival de Música Antiga des Migjorn Gran, a festival she founded in 2011, becoming the first festival specialized in this subject on the island of Menorca.
Eva combines teaching work with the interpretive aspect.
Since 2014 she is a member of the Musicological Research Group, linked to the Institut Menorquí d'Estudis.

Dimitri Kindynis
Violonchelo histórico y viola da gamba
Born in Papetee (Tahiti), Dimitri Kindynis began studying cello in his hometown, after having started music on the piano.
After completing his studies at the Paris conservatories, he collaborated with numerous orchestras such as the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Orchestre des Regions Européenes, before joining the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra in 2007.
He has performed numerous concerts that have taken him to the Americas (USA, Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Chile) and the Pacific (New Zealand, Tahiti, Hawaii).
The importance of sharing and transmitting through teaching also made him move to Palestine in 2011, where he was a cello and double bass teacher.
When he returned to Europe, he specialized in the interpretation of historical instruments, cello, basse de violon and viola da gamba.
A graduate of the Escola Superior de Música de Cataluña (ESMuC, Barcelona) in viola da gamba, he perfects his knowledge of these instruments and the different styles of interpretation by devoting himself to historical research and concerts.
He currently resides in Barcelona and collaborates with various early music ensembles, both local and international.
